Pepperoni Pizza Bombs Quick and Tasty Snack Idea
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (16 oz)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 4 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- to taste fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, roughly 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into squares, approximately 3 inches by 3 inches.
- Place a slice of pepperoni and a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of the dough over the filling, pinching them together to form a secure packet or bomb.
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture on top of each dough ball.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the tops of the pizza bombs for added flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed up.
- While the bombs are baking, warm the pizza sauce in a small saucepan for dipping.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
