Pickle Ranch Chicken Burgers Flavorful and Simple Meal
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 0.25 cup dill pickle relish
- 0.25 cup ranch dressing
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 pieces hamburger buns
- as needed slices dill pickles for serving
- as needed leaves leafy romaine lettuce for serving
- optional slices cheese slices
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, dill pickle relish, ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined but do not overwork the meat.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form them into burger patties. Be sure to make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Flip the patties and cook for another 5-6 minutes, or until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). If you’re using cheese, place a slice on each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet or under a broiler until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the chicken patty, and topping with additional dill pickles and ranch dressing if desired.
- Place the top half of the bun on each assembled burger and serve hot.
💡 Chef's Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding cheese slices during the last minute of cooking.
