Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 0.25 cup dill pickle relish
  • 0.25 cup ranch dressing
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns
  • as needed slices dill pickles for serving
  • as needed leaves leafy romaine lettuce for serving
  • optional slices cheese slices

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, dill pickle relish, ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined but do not overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form them into burger patties. Be sure to make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  4. Flip the patties and cook for another 5-6 minutes, or until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). If you’re using cheese, place a slice on each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet or under a broiler until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the chicken patty, and topping with additional dill pickles and ranch dressing if desired.
  7. Place the top half of the bun on each assembled burger and serve hot.

💡 Chef's Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding cheese slices during the last minute of cooking.
