Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon
  • 1 cup diced fresh pineapple
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • for garnish fresh cilantro or parsley
  • for serving lime wedges

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and lime juice until smooth.
  2. Pour half of the marinade over the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and marinate for 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to 400°F (200°C) and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill the salmon for 4-5 minutes on each side, brushing with reserved marinade for extra flavor.
  5. Ensure the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) before removing from the grill.
  6. Let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with cilantro or parsley and lime wedges.

💡 Chef's Notes

Marinate the salmon for no more than 20 minutes to avoid excessive saltiness.
