Savory Creamy Chicken Alfredo Tater Tot Casserole Dish
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- to taste salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season it with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Cook for about 6-8 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- In a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish, spread the cooked chicken evenly across the bottom.
- Pour the creamy Alfredo sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s evenly covered.
- Carefully arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the chicken and sauce, creating an even layer.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
💡 Chef's Notes
