Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme. Ensure they are evenly coated.
  2. Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes on each side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, stirring frequently to avoid burning.
  4. Create the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Scrape any bits off the bottom of the skillet for added flavor.
  5. Add Cream: Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well and allow the sauce to simmer for about 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Combine: Return the seared chicken back to the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce. Let it cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb some of the flavors.
  7. Finish with Lemon: Just before serving, drizzle the lemon juice over the chicken for brightness and stir.
  8. Serve and Garnish: Plate the chicken and spoon the creamy sauce over the top. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for an added touch of freshness.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve alongside buttery mashed potatoes or over a bed of steamed rice, with the creamy sauce drizzled elegantly on top. Add a lemon wedge for a pop of color.
