Savory Swiss Cheese Chicken Easy Comfort Dish
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 ounces Swiss cheese, sliced
- 1 cup fresh spinach, roughly chopped
- 0.5 cup cream cheese, softened
- 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 0 optional fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Place each chicken breast between two layers of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, gently pound the chicken to about half an inch thick for even cooking.
- Season both sides of each chicken breast with salt and pepper.
- Spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture onto one side of each chicken breast. Top with chopped spinach and a slice of Swiss cheese.
- Roll each chicken breast tightly, starting from the filled side. Secure the roll with toothpicks or kitchen twine.
- In a shallow bowl, pour the breadcrumbs. Roll each chicken roll into the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken rolls and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Once browned, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
