Savory Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring Delight
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup cooked turkey, shredded
- 1 2 cranberry sauce
- 1 2 cream cheese, softened
- 1 4 chopped green onions
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 2 salt
- 1 4 black pepper
- 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 to taste fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded turkey, cranberry sauce, cream cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay it out on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Do not separate the triangles yet.
- Arrange the dough in a circle, overlapping the wide ends and making a 6-inch diameter ring, leaving the pointed ends of the dough pieces hanging off the edge of the baking sheet.
- Spoon the turkey and cranberry mixture evenly over the wide ends of the crescent roll dough.
- Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling and tuck them under the ring, sealing in the mixture.
- Brush the beaten egg over the top of the dough to give it a golden color while baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
