Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to foam.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Increase the heat to high and add the shrimp in a single layer. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  4. Gently toss the shrimp in the garlic butter mixture to coat evenly.
  5. Remove from heat and drizzle fresh lemon juice over the shrimp, then add the chopped parsley.
  6. Stir everything together and allow it to sit for a minute to soak in the flavors.
