Spinach Garlic Mozzarella Meatballs Flavor Boost Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 0 Marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or turkey, chopped spinach, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, egg, oregano, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley.
- Using your hands, mix until well combined. Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and form it into a meatball. Place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining mixture, spacing the meatballs evenly apart.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, heat your marinara sauce over medium-low heat until warmed through.
- Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Serve the meatballs with the warm marinara sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.
💡 Chef's Notes
Serve the meatballs on a large platter garnished with additional chopped parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan. Pair it with crusty bread or over spaghetti for a comforting meal.
