Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 ripe banana sliced
- 0.5 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.25 cup Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess)
- as needed cubes ice (optional, for a chilled smoothie)
Instructions
- In a blender, add the sliced strawberries and banana.
- Pour in the rolled oats, almond milk, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract.
- If using, add the Greek yogurt for a creamier texture.
- Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are smooth and well combined. If you prefer a chilled smoothie, add a few ice cubes and blend again.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness as desired by adding more honey or syrup.
- Once blended to your desired consistency, pour the smoothie into glasses.
