Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 ripe banana sliced
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess)
  • as needed cubes ice (optional, for a chilled smoothie)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, add the sliced strawberries and banana.
  2. Pour in the rolled oats, almond milk, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract.
  3. If using, add the Greek yogurt for a creamier texture.
  4. Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are smooth and well combined. If you prefer a chilled smoothie, add a few ice cubes and blend again.
  5. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness as desired by adding more honey or syrup.
  6. Once blended to your desired consistency, pour the smoothie into glasses.
