Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 0.5 cup green bell pepper, diced
  • 0.5 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • optional fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, and sauté until they start to soften, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and continue to cook until they are tender and any moisture has evaporated, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Shape the beef mixture into two large patties.
  5. Push the cooked veggie mixture to the side of the skillet and place the patties in the center. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  6. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each patty, allowing it to melt.
  7. Once cooked, carefully remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a serving plate, topped with the sautéed veggies.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

💡 Chef's Notes

Serve the patties on a rustic wooden platter with a side of crispy baked potatoes or a fresh garden salad for a full meal experience.
