Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta Creamy Delight Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 half cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
- 2.5 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
- 3 tablespoons cold water
- a pinch salt
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom (soften).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla bean paste, and a pinch of salt. Stir gently until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is warm but not boiling.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the bloomed gelatin. Stir until completely dissolved, ensuring there are no lumps.
- If using a vanilla bean, discard the pod and continue to stir. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large measuring cup or bowl to remove any lumps or vanilla pod remnants.
- Pour the strained panna cotta mixture into individual serving glasses or molds. Allow them to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, cover the glasses with plastic wrap and place them in the refrigerator. Let them chill for at least 4 hours, or until set completely.
- To serve, you can top the panna cotta with fresh berries, a drizzle of honey, or a sprinkle of edible flowers for a pop of color.
💡 Chef's Notes
