Ingredients

  • 2 whole ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.33 cup maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 0.25 cup almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 0 optional fresh berries and chopped nuts for topping

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the ripe avocados, cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt.
  2. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as necessary to ensure everything is well incorporated.
  3. Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup if desired. Blend again to mix well.
  4. Once you achieve a silky texture, spoon the mousse into serving cups or bowls.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set and enhance flavors.
  6. Before serving, top with fresh berries, chopped nuts, or a sprinkle of cocoa powder for an extra touch.
