Roasted Maple Glazed Carrots Flavorful and Easy Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound baby carrots (or regular carrots, peeled and cut into sticks)
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- to taste salt and pepper
- for garnish fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, olive oil, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Add the carrots to the bowl and toss thoroughly to ensure they are evenly coated with the maple glaze.
- Spread the coated carrots out on a baking sheet in a single layer to ensure even roasting.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, or until the carrots are tender and lightly caramelized.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes.
- Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top for a burst of color and added freshness, if desired.
