Tender Steak Bites in Garlic Butter with Creamy Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- to taste salt and freshly ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 2 freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 4 black pepper
- 1 2 lemon zest
- to taste salt
Instructions
- Season the steak cubes with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Make sure all sides are coated evenly.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Once the butter is melted and bubbling, add half of the steak cubes in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes without moving, then flip and sear the other side for another 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak bites and repeat with the remaining steak, adding more butter if necessary.
- Once all steak bites are cooked and removed from the skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the heavy cream to the skillet and stir well to combine with the garlic butter. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then add the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and lemon zest. Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Adjust salt to taste as necessary.
- Add the seared steak bites back to the skillet and toss them in the creamy Parmesan sauce. Allow them to heat through for about 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and plate the steak bites drizzled with extra creamy sauce from the skillet. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.
💡 Chef's Notes
Serve the steak bites over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes or alongside sautéed vegetables. Drizzle extra sauce over the top and sprinkle with more parsley for presentation.
