1 cup angel food cake mix

1/2 cup water

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup sugar (for coating)

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions
 

In a mixing bowl, combine the angel food cake mix and water. Stir until completely mixed and smooth.

    Add the melted butter and vanilla extract to the mixture and blend well.

      Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined; be careful not to overmix.

        In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together. Set aside.

          Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

            Using a piping bag fitted with a large star tip, fill it with the angel food cake batter.

              Carefully pipe small spirals (about 1 to 2 inches in diameter) into the hot oil, frying them in batches until they are golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.

                Once cooked, remove the churro bites from the oil and drain on a paper towel.

                  While still warm, roll the churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated evenly.
