Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.

Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs approximately the size of a golf ball or about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each meatball.

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

While the meatballs are baking, warm the marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Serve the meatballs over your favorite pasta or on their own, spooning extra marinara sauce over the top.
