4 large croissants

8 slices of deli ham

8 slices of Swiss cheese

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon butter, melted

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon fresh chives or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard and honey until well combined. This will be the sweet-spicy spread for your croissants.

      Carefully slice each croissant in half horizontally, without cutting all the way through, creating a pocket for the filling.

        Spread a thin layer of the mustard-honey mixture on the inside of each croissant half.

          Place 2 slices of deli ham inside each croissant, followed by 2 slices of Swiss cheese.

            Close the croissants gently and brush the tops with melted butter to give them a golden finish.

              Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

                Bake in preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

                  Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Optionally, sprinkle fresh chives or parsley on top for a pop of color and added flavor.

                    Serve warm and enjoy your cheesy ham delights!
