Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick)

4 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1 lemon, cut into wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Steaks: Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes for even cooking. Pat them dry with paper towels.

Season the Steaks: Rub both sides of the steaks with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Sprinkle smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly over both sides, pressing the seasoning into the meat.

Heat the Grill or Pan: Preheat a grill or a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and let it heat until shimmering.

Cook the Steaks: Place the steaks on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms. Flip the steaks and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness).

Add Flavor: In the last minute of cooking, add the unsalted butter and minced garlic to the skillet or grill. Baste the steaks with the melted garlic butter by spooning it over the top.

Rest the Steaks: Remove the steaks from the grill or skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the jumbo shrimp and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.

Serve: Slice the ribeye steaks against the grain and plate them alongside the sautéed shrimp. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the skillet over both proteins.

Garnish and Enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty kick.
