Ingredients

2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Fresh berries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.

Unroll one can of crescent rolls and lay the dough evenly in the bottom of the greased baking dish, pressing seams together to create a complete base layer.

In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth using an electric mixer.

Add granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs to the cream cheese. Mix until fully combined and creamy.

Incorporate the sour cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, and almond extract into the mixture, blending until smooth.

Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish, spreading it out gently with a spatula.

Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and split it into triangles. Layer these triangles over the cheesecake filling for a rustic appearance.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.

Allow the casserole to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares.

Optionally, dust individual portions with powdered sugar and top with fresh berries before serving.
