Cheesy Bacon Chicken with Mustard Sauce

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup heavy cream

3 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add the chicken to the skillet and sear for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.

      In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

        Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Dijon mustard, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Allow it to thicken slightly for about 3-4 minutes.

          Add half of the crumbled bacon and half of the cheddar cheese to the mustard sauce, stirring until melted and well combined.

            Place the seared chicken breasts in a baking dish. Pour the cheesy mustard sauce over the chicken, making sure each piece is well-coated.

              Top the chicken with the remaining cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.

                Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/75°C).

                  Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
