8 oz (225g) penne pasta

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

      Prepare the Sauce: Add the marinara sauce and heavy cream to the skillet with the garlic. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

        Combine Pasta and Cheese: Once the sauce is simmering, add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta with the sauce thoroughly. Gradually add the shredded mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese has melted and the pasta is evenly coated.
