Ingredients

1 large baguette or Italian loaf

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut the baguette in half lengthwise to create two equal halves.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and well-blended.

Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over the cut sides of the baguette.

In a separate bowl, mix the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese together. Sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.

Place the prepared bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and bubbly.

For an extra toasty finish, switch the oven to broil for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is golden and slightly crispy—just watch closely to prevent burning!

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

                    Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 20 minutes | Servings: 4-6
