Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (80/20 for optimal juiciness)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

4 slices cheddar cheese

4 burger buns

Lettuce leaves

Sliced tomatoes

Sliced pickles

Ketchup and mustard for serving

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until incorporated; avoid over-mixing to keep the patties tender.

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties that are slightly larger than your buns, as they will shrink during cooking. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing up.

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, until a nice crust forms. If using a grill, close the lid for a smokier flavor.

Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of cheddar cheese on each one. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the internal temperature reaches 160°F for medium doneness.

While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

Assemble your burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cheesy beef patty, sliced tomatoes, pickles, and your choice of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

              Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: 4

                - Presentation Tips: Serve the burgers on a wooden platter with a side of crispy sweet potato fries and garnish with fresh herbs for an attractive presentation.
