Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon dried parsley

1 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (plus more for greasing)

2 teaspoons honey

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with melted butter or non-stick spray.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Stir until well combined.

Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients, then pour in the buttermilk, melted butter, and honey. Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined—do not overmix; it’s okay if there are lumps.

Pour the biscuit dough into the prepared cake pan. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.

In a separate bowl, mix together the remaining 1 cup of melted butter with a pinch of salt, and drizzle it over the top of the dough.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

Cut into wedges or squares, serve warm, and garnish with freshly chopped chives.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 8 wedges

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the biscuits warm in the baking pan, garnished with additional chives for a pop of color. A small bowl of honey butter on the side can elevate the dish.
