Ingredients

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped (adjust to taste)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup green onions, sliced

1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

If using fresh cranberries, rinse them under cold water and remove any stems. If using frozen cranberries, thaw them and drain any excess juice.

In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries and jalapeño over medium heat. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the cranberries start to burst and release their juices, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Use a hand mixer or whisk to blend until smooth and creamy.

Stir in the cooled cranberry-jalapeño mixture, green onions, honey, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well to combine all ingredients evenly.

Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld.

Before serving, garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks.
