Ingredients

4 cups finely shredded green cabbage

1 medium carrot, grated

1/2 cup finely chopped green onions

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Oil for frying (such as vegetable or canola oil)

For the Garlic Sauce:

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or parsley)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and chopped green onions. Toss together until evenly mixed.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the egg, flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until a smooth batter forms.

Pour the batter over the cabbage mixture and gently fold it in until all the vegetables are well-coated. The mixture should be sticky but hold together.

Heat about 1/4 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cabbage mixture into the pan, flattening it slightly with the back of the spoon to form fritters. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.

Fry the fritters for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the fritters and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil while you cook the remaining batches.

While the fritters fry, prepare the garlic sauce by combining the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix until well combined.

Serve the crispy cabbage fritters warm with the garlic sauce on the side for dipping.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Arrange the fritters in a stack on a rustic wooden platter and drizzle some garlic sauce over them. Garnish with fresh dill or parsley for a pop of color!
