Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

4 slices of ham (preferably prosciutto or black forest)

4 slices of Swiss cheese

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Place each chicken breast between two pieces of plastic wrap. Using a meat mallet, gently pound them to about 1/2 inch thickness.

Lay a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast.

Carefully roll the chicken breasts tightly from one end to the other, securing the filling inside. Use toothpicks to hold them together if necessary.

In a shallow dish, place the flour mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. In another dish, whisk the eggs. In a third dish, add breadcrumbs.

Dredge each rolled chicken breast first in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally coat evenly with breadcrumbs.

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken rolls for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Once browned, remove the skillet from the heat. In a bowl, mix heavy cream and Dijon mustard, then pour it over the chicken in the skillet.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C).

Once cooked, allow the chicken rolls to rest for 5 minutes before slicing into rounds for serving.

                      Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 55 mins | Servings: 4

                        - Presentation Tips: Arrange the sliced chicken rolls on a platter, drizzle with the creamy sauce from the skillet, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.
