Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon lemon juice

2 cups vanilla ice cream

1 cup chilled sparkling water or lemon-lime soda

Whipped cream (optional)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Toss them gently to coat and let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.

While the strawberries are macerating, scoop 1-2 generous scoops of vanilla ice cream into each glass or cup.

Once the strawberries have released their juices, spoon a generous amount over the ice cream in each glass.

Slowly pour the chilled sparkling water or lemon-lime soda over the strawberries and ice cream, filling each glass to the top.

If desired, add a dollop of whipped cream on top for extra creaminess.

Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color and refreshing flavor. Serve immediately for a delightful float experience!
