Ingredients

1 large baguette (or any crusty bread)

6 cloves of garlic, minced

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt, to taste

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, basil, thyme, red pepper flakes (if using), and salt. Mix well until blended.

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and lemon zest for an extra zing.

Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. If you prefer smaller pieces, slice it into sections later.

Spread the garlic herb butter mixture generously on both halves of the bread. Make sure to coat it well to let the flavors seep in.

Wrap the dressed bread in aluminum foil to retain moisture, placing it on a baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the edges are crispy and the aroma fills your kitchen.

For an extra crispy finish, unwrap the foil for the last 5 minutes of baking.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing (if not pre-sliced). Serve warm.
