Ingredients

500g ground beef

250g ground pork

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg

2 tablespoons mustard

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.

Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the meat mixture.

Stir in the breadcrumbs, egg, mustard, dried thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together with your hands until well combined and the mixture holds together.

Form the mixture into oval-shaped patties, about 2 cm thick. You should get about 8 patties.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.

Fry the Frikadellen in batches for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until a nice golden brown crust forms and they are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 70°C/160°F).

Once cooked, transfer the patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
