Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed

4 oz cooked ham, chopped

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon chopped chives (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to smoothen it. Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped ham, softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, Dijon mustard, and chives. Mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.

Place a generous spoonful of the ham and cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.

Fold the corners of the pastry square over the filling, pinching them together to create a sealed packet. Optionally, you can crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative finish.

Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg to give them a golden color while baking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

                  Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 35 min | Servings: 4

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve warm on a rustic wooden board, garnished with fresh chives or parsley for a pop of color. You can also serve with a side of mixed greens for a touch of freshness.
