Ingredients
  

1 cup dried hibiscus flowers

2 cups water

1 ripe pineapple, peeled, cored, and chopped

1 banana, frozen

1 cup coconut milk

2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Ice cubes (optional, for a thicker texture)

Instructions
 

Begin by brewing the hibiscus tea. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

    Once boiling, add the dried hibiscus flowers and reduce the heat to a simmer. Allow the tea to steep for about 10 minutes.

      After steeping, strain the tea into a bowl, discarding the flowers. Let the tea cool to room temperature.

        In a blender, combine the cooled hibiscus tea, chopped pineapple, frozen banana, coconut milk, honey or agave syrup, and chia seeds. If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes.

          Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.

            Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.
