Ingredients

12 slider buns

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup Italian sausage, casing removed

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup marinara sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly integrated.

Divide the meat mixture into 12 equal portions and form small patties.

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 160°F or 71°C).

During the last minute of cooking, place a tablespoon of marinara sauce and a pinch of mozzarella on each patty to melt.

Slice the slider buns in half and place them on a baking sheet.

Assemble the sliders by placing each patty on the bottom half of a bun, topping with extra marinara (if desired), sliced black olives (if using), and fresh basil leaves.

Place the top half of the bun on each slider and brush with a little extra olive oil for a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the buns are slightly toasted and the cheese is bubbly.

Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, and serve warm.

Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 30 mins | Servings: 12 sliders

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the sliders on a rustic wooden board, garnished with additional basil leaves and a small bowl of marinara for dipping.
