Ingredients

1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons honey

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Fresh chives or scallions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined.

Place the cubed sirloin steak into a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, then pour the marinade over the steak. Seal the bag (or cover the dish) and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more intense flavor.

Preheat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Ensure it’s hot enough to sear the steak bites properly.

Remove the steak from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the leftover marinade to avoid contamination.

Add the steak cubes to the hot skillet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until a nice crust forms and the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness (medium-rare is about 130°F).

Once cooked, transfer the steak bites to a serving platter.

Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped chives or scallions before serving. Optional: drizzle with a bit more olive oil or a sprinkle of fresh herbs for an elegant touch.
