Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sear the Chicken: Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken breasts. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cherry tomatoes. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes begin to soften.

Create Creamy Mixture: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, dried basil, and oregano. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine: Slice the seared chicken into thin strips and return to the skillet. Add the drained fettuccine to the sauce, tossing everything together until well coated.

Serve: Plate the creamy chicken pasta, garnishing with fresh basil leaves and additional Parmesan if desired.
