Olive Garden Stuffed Mushrooms

20 large white mushrooms, stems removed

1 cup Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the Mushroom Caps: Gently clean the mushroom caps with a damp cloth. Remove the stems and chop them finely for the stuffing.

      Cook the Filling: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add minced garlic and chopped mushroom stems. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until the mixture is softened.

        Mix the Stuffing: In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed garlic and mushroom stems with cooked Italian sausage, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

          Stuff the Mushrooms: Carefully spoon the filling into each mushroom cap, packing it slightly to ensure they are well-stuffed.

            Arrange and Bake: Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.

              Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with additional chopped parsley if desired before serving.
