1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6-8 lemons)

1 cup granulated sugar

4 cups water, divided

1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds

1-2 drops lavender essential oil (food-grade)

A few drops of pink food coloring (optional)

Fresh lavender sprigs and lemon slices for garnish

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the dried lavender buds. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Allow it to simmer for 5 minutes.

    Remove the saucepan from heat, cover it, and let the lavender steep for another 15-20 minutes to infuse the flavor.

      Strain the lavender water into a large pitcher, discarding the buds.

        In the same pitcher, add the cup of granulated sugar to the warm lavender water. Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.

          Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Mix well to combine.

            For an extra layer of lavender flavor, add 1-2 drops of food-grade lavender essential oil, adjusting to taste as desired.

              If you desire a pink hue for your lemonade, add a few drops of pink food coloring and stir until you reach your desired shade.

                Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour to chill and blend the flavors.
