Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

4 tablespoons olive oil

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons maple syrup

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Sear the Chops: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.

Create the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant but not browned.

Deglaze the Pan: Pour in the chicken broth, using a wooden spoon to scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet. This will add flavor to your sauce.

Add Flavorings: Stir in the Dijon mustard, maple syrup, chopped rosemary, and dried thyme. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes until it slightly thickens.

Reintroduce Chops: Return the pork chops to the skillet, turning them to coat in the sauce. Simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes to heat through and allow the flavors to meld.

Serve: Transfer the pork chops to a serving platter, spoon the garlic sauce over the top, and sprinkle with fresh parsley for garnish.
