Ingredients

1 cup canned pumpkin puree

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the canned pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and sugar. Mix until smooth.

Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until everything is well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and walnuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes | Servings: 8 slices

                      - Presentation Tips: Slice the bread once cooled and serve with a dollop of whipped cream or cream cheese spread on the side for a delicious treat. Optionally, sprinkle some chocolate chips on top before baking for an extra touch!
