Ingredients

1.5 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon sugar

Salt and pepper to taste

8 oz pasta of your choice (like fettuccine or pappardelle)

½ cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Searing the Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the beef cubes with salt and pepper. Add the beef in batches to avoid overcrowding, and sear until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Transfer to the slow cooker.

Sautéing Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant. Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker with the beef.

Adding Sauces: Pour in the beef broth, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and sugar into the slow cooker. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Slow Cooking: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours until the beef is tender and easily shredded with a fork.

Cooking the Pasta: About 30 minutes before serving, cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Finishing the Sauce: Once the beef is done cooking, stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese into the slow cooker. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Combining Everything: Add the cooked pasta to the slow cooker and gently toss to coat the pasta in the creamy beef sauce.

Serving: Serve the pasta hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
