1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, your choice)

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 ounces) Rotel tomatoes with green chilies, drained

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until it is browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.

      Lower the heat and mix in the softened cream cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.

        Add the drained Rotel tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are combined. Cook for an additional 2 minutes and remove from heat.

          Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a flat surface and separate it into triangles.

            Place a tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.

              Sprinkle a little shredded cheddar cheese on top of the filling.

                Carefully roll up each crescent, starting at the wide end, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

                  Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

                    Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh cilantro or green onions if desired.
