Ingredients

1 large baguette

2 medium ripe tomatoes, sliced

8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

1 cup fresh basil leaves

1-2 fresh red chili peppers, thinly sliced (adjust to taste)

3 tablespoons balsamic glaze

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet, cut side up.

Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the cut sides of the baguette.

Place the baguette in the preheated oven and toast for about 5-7 minutes or until the edges are golden and crispy.

Once toasted, remove the baguette from the oven and layer slices of fresh mozzarella evenly across the bread.

Add the sliced tomatoes on top of the mozzarella.

Scatter fresh basil leaves generously over the tomatoes.

Add the sliced chili peppers to the top (adjust quantity based on your spice preference)

Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the entire baguette and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Return the baguette to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, just until the mozzarella starts to melt slightly.

Remove from the oven, slice into manageable pieces, and serve warm.
