Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 bell pepper (red or green), diced

1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Steak: Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to enhance flavor and tenderness.

Cook the Steak: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the steaks to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate, covered loosely with foil.

Make the Cajun Shrimp Sauce: In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the chopped onion and diced bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, or until softened.

Add Garlic and Shrimp: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Create the Creamy Sauce: Reduce the heat to medium-low, then pour in the heavy cream and lemon juice. Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serve: Slice the steak and place it on serving plates. Spoon the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce generously over the top.

Garnish: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over each plate for a pop of color and fresh flavor.

                Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 30 mins | Servings: 2

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the dish with a side of garlic mashed potatoes or steamed asparagus for a complete meal. A lemon wedge on the side adds a nice touch!
