Ingredients

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

2 tablespoons sesame oil

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon water (if using cornstarch)

Instructions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and honey (or maple syrup).

Whisk together until the ingredients are well incorporated. This will be your base sauce.

If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl until smooth, then add it to your sauce mix.

Stir in the red pepper flakes for a bit of spice, adjusting the amount according to your taste preference.

Allow the sauce to sit for at least 10 minutes to let the flavors meld together and for the cornstarch (if used) to activate before adding it to your stir-fried vegetables or proteins.

For a quick stir-fry, heat a bit of oil in a pan over medium-high heat, add your choice of vegetables and/or proteins, and pour in the stir fry sauce at the end of cooking to coat everything evenly.

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Total Time: 15 minutes | Servings: Makes enough sauce for 4-6 servings of stir fry
