Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/4 cup additional powdered sugar for drizzling

1 tablespoon milk for the glaze

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until combined.

Gradually add in the remaining flour, 1/4 cup at a time, until you form a soft dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the cheesecake filling. In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, chopped strawberries, cornstarch, and lemon juice, mixing well until combined.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 12x18 inches.

Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.

Starting from one long edge, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Pinch the seams to seal.

Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover with a towel, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.

Once the rolls are done baking, allow them to cool slightly before drizzling the glaze on top.

Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 1 hr 50 mins | Servings: 12 rolls
