To make a great strawberry matcha latte, you need a few key ingredients. First, choose your milk. You can use dairy milk, almond milk, or oat milk. Each option brings its own taste and texture. I love oat milk for its creaminess.

Ingredients

1 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, etc.)

2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder

2 tablespoons hot water

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ice cubes (for iced version, optional)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberries: In a blender, add the sliced strawberries and honey or maple syrup. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunky strawberry puree, pulse the mixture a few times instead of blending it completely. Set this aside.

Mix the Matcha: In a small bowl, combine 2 teaspoons of matcha powder with 2 tablespoons of hot water. Whisk vigorously until all the matcha is dissolved and a frothy layer forms on top.

Heat the Milk: In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk on medium heat until warm (do not boil). If you prefer a frothy texture, you can whisk the milk or use a milk frother.

Combine the Ingredients: In a glass, add the strawberry puree at the bottom. Pour in the warm milk over the puree, allowing the creamy pink layer to form.

Add Matcha: Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the milk and strawberry mixture, creating layers. You can gently stir if you prefer a mixed drink.

Serve: If you enjoy an iced version, fill a glass with ice cubes before pouring in the milk and matcha.

Garnish: Top with fresh mint leaves or a few whole strawberries for a beautiful presentation.
