Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
Stir in the minced garlic and diced bell pepper, cooking for another 2 minutes until the peppers soften.
Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the turkey is browned and cooked through.
Stir in the cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the turkey evenly with the spices.
Pour in the water and stir to combine. Allow it to simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and prepare your lettuce wraps by taking individual leaves.
Spoon the turkey mixture into the center of each lettuce leaf.
Top with halved cherry tomatoes, diced avocado, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the wraps.
