Ingredients

1 loaf of focaccia or pizza dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup diced pepperoni

1 cup sautéed bell peppers and onions

1/2 cup sliced black olives

1/2 cup cooked crumbled sausage (optional)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

Roll out the focaccia or pizza dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Aim for about 1/4 inch thickness.

Drizzle the olive oil over the dough and sprinkle the garlic powder and Italian seasoning evenly across the surface.

Evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the dough, followed by the diced pepperoni, sautéed bell peppers and onions, black olives, and crumbled sausage (if using).

Top the fillings with grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Starting from one edge of the dough, carefully roll it up into a tight log, sealing the edges as you go. Pinch the ends to prevent the filling from spilling out.

Place the rolled garbage bread seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Use a sharp knife to make several slits on top of the bread for steam to escape.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Once baked, let it cool for about 5 minutes before slicing it into rounds.

                      Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 40 mins | Servings: 4-6

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. You can also garnish the platter with fresh basil leaves for a pop of color.
