Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 for optimal juiciness)

1/4 cup Jack Daniels barbecue sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices sharp cheddar cheese

4 hamburger buns (toasted)

Lettuce leaves

Tomato slices

Onion (red or white, sliced)

Pickles (optional)

Extra barbecue sauce for serving

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Jack Daniels barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a drizzle of oil to prevent sticking.

Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then carefully flip them over. Top each patty with a slice of sharp cheddar cheese and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired level of doneness.

While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.

To assemble, spread a tablespoon of extra barbecue sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with lettuce, a cheesy burger patty, a tomato slice, onion rings, and pickles if desired. Top it off with the other half of the bun.

              Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

                - Presentation Tips: Serve these burgers on a wooden platter with a side of sweet potato fries or coleslaw. Garnish with parsley for a pop of color and additional barbecue sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
